As a dedicated mental health and social service provider, Ciara L. Anderson has recognized a clear need for books to help youth overcome their obstacles. As a survivor of child abuse and neglect, Ciara uses her personal experiences and professional knowledge to serve as a role model for youth.
Not having a publishing nor writing background, Ciara went on the journey of not only self publishing her own books but she also has her own publishing company, Loyal Publishing. She utilized the word “Loyal” because it describes her has a whole. Ciara learned about the need for a child at a most colorful age, through hardship. “I always tell people, life has two options “Sink or swim”. I am a strong believer in the importance of overcoming life challenges through persistence. With every hurdle, obstacle course, or maze we may face in life there is always a way up, over, and beyond. By modeling this mindset for youth it is without reasonable doubt that our youth will grow to be healthy, smart, strong, determined and a winner.
Ciara plans to publish all nonfiction books and children magazines. She plans to introduce “A moral of this story” in every book she publishes. She also plans to travel the world to reach out to youth. In addition her ultimate goal is to own and operate a group home for at risk youth with a family setting where she will teach the importance of love and instill the value of being persistent. Ciara says she want youth to be able to stand tall with their head high and tell the world “I am a victor not a victim.”
Ciara has admired the fact she was born January 15 the same day as the late great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She feels as if she was born to be a leader and help the world through the eyes of children. Along with Dr. King, Ciara was inspired by the children she works with, her pastor Mason Betha and Michael Jackson. Ciara was born in Chicago, Illinois. She has obtained a degree in counseling. She loves community activism, comedy and writing. Ciara currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Now she not only shares her birthday with the Dr. King; she also shares his birthplace perhaps this was part of her destiny
