Mildred Dillon
 
Mildred Dillon is a CPA with over 25 years of varied financial experience working with the public. Working in the family's busy real estate & insurance agencies at the age of 13 was just the start of a long career of customer service, finance, office and business administration. In addition to obtaining her Bachelor's degree in accounting from Xavier University, she went on to obtain several professional licenses including real estate, insurance and the mortgage originator license.
Mildred's financial, accounting, and marketing experience has canvassed several industries and states including:
* Banking - both locally and out of state
* Taxation - locally with the VITA program, in the international tax department of IBM in New York
* Cost accounting - in a Fortune 500 paper company in Florida
* Joint ventures with other CPA firms for services to the City of New Orleans, and the Orleans Parish School Board
* Business and financial coaching
Her past professions as mortgage originator, insurance and real estate broker, showed her the need that individuals have to be taught the basics about money. Her latest venture, The Money Doctor®, came from her desire to help people get on track financially, and includes a workshop called Money101 to accomplish that goal. As a certified QuickBooks instructor, she provides classroom training and one- on-one support for local small and emerging businesses through the capacity building and technical assistance program for the Urban League. In 2009, she taught continuing education to over 200 realtors for Stewart Title. She has been a featured speaker for the SBA's annual 8a Small Business Conference, youth and church groups, non profits, and most recently, the freshman class at Southern University. She has also appeared on several local TV financial shows and is a well-known voice to the community on WBOK AM 1230's Money Talk, Q93's Real Talk and FM98's Sunday Morning Journal radio shows.
