-Patricia Hinds, editor, writer, educator and publishing executive, is the author of nine children’s books. With extensive experience in producing books of substance and beauty, Hinds is the founder of Mignon Communications, LLC, a book producer in New York. She created Essence Books, which includes 50 of the Most Inspiring African-Americans, Wisdom of the Ages: Extraordinary People 19 to 90, Making it Happen: Creating Success and Abundance, Black Men in Their Own Words, 21st Century Sister: Five Keys to Success, ESSENCE: 25 Years Celebrating Black Women, and Total Makeover: Body, Beauty, Spirit. Hinds is also a university English professor.
